Ann grew up in the Natal Midlands and was raised as part of a Christian family. She has been married for 5 years and shares a love for long-distance running with her husband, David. Ann was the first woman to finish the Comrades Marathon this year in a time of 6h10. She has big dreams and has been working hard to make her dreams become a reality. We are so looking forward to hearing some of Ann’s story at Flourish this year!
Ross & Amy Rodger
Ross and Amy Rodger lead Olive Tree Church in Durban and are both gifted communicators. Amy also started a school for children with special needs in the heart of Durban called Khanyisa! They have a big vision and they really love people! They will both be preaching at this year’s Flourish so we are in for a real treat!!
Lara Jourdan and her husband, Iain, serve on the eldership team at CityHill Church. She has a background in marketing, working for 10 years as a brand manager in the skin care industry, before taking time away from her career to embrace a new season of being a mom! Lara and Iain have been married for 9 years and have two gorgeous children, Brody and Lacey, and two boisterous sausage dogs. Lara has a particular heart for women, to find their identity in Christ. This is her prayer for the Flourish ladies of 2018 – that they may truly find their wings in knowing they are daughters of The King!
Yes, another Wimble! Ruth is the youngest of five siblings and twelve years younger than her oldest brother, our very own, Steve Wimble. She is a dynamic young woman who is both entertaining and profound. She is a qualified dietician but currently works on the full-time staff at OneLife Church in Durban. We are so thrilled that she will be speaking at Flourish this year!
Khanyi was the head girl at a very prestigious local high school in 2011. She has done a whole heap of tertiary studies since then but took a while to find what she is really passionate about! She is currently studying to become a pilot and loves nothing better than to be up in the air. As you can imagine, she has a lot to say about this year’s theme!
