Musola Kaseketi is a Zambian filmmaker and human rights activist. She is also the winner of the prestigious Light of the World – Her Abilities award.

As a young child, a medical error paralysed one of her legs and she has mobility difficulties as a result.

Musola trained as a filmmaker in South Africa, then she studied human rights advocacy and cinema to enhance her skills so she could use the power of film as a tool.

She set up the Women and Girls with Disability Rights of Zambia, a project to empower and improve the lives of women and girls facing disabilities.

Many of her films and documentaries address the social issues that they face.

Musola is a born leader who encourages women to look at their obstacles as motivation to achieve bigger goals.

Together with her husband, Nicholas, Jan has three wonderful boys and is expecting her fourth baby soon. Lara Jourdan and her husband Iain, together lead CityHill Church, Ballito. After working for 10 years as a brand manager in the skin care industry, Lara took time away from her career to focus on being a mom to her two gorgeous children, Brody and Lacey.

With a huge heart for women to find their identity in Christ, Lara has graced our Flourish stage before, and we are delighted to welcome her back, knowing that she brings both an incredible depth of wisdom and a true embodiment of childlike awe and wonder for the things of God.

There are times when a women’s conference can really benefit from a male voice! Steve and Jax lead CityHill Church, and he has a special place in his heart for the Flourish conference and for every lady who attends.

Before being asked to lead at CityHill, Steve was part of the leadership team at OneLife Church in Pietermaritzburg, where he met Jax and where their two wonderful sons were born. Since relocating to Hillcrest, a gorgeous girl has been added to their family.

Steve has an incredible gift for communicating in ways that are challenging, life-giving and inspiring. His favourite word – WOW! – encapsulates the spirit of Flourish 2022!
